The Dream Team
Conservation farming
for 2010 and Beyond
The Dream Machine
builds a good conventional seedbed for strip-till and minimum-till
farming.
It places the nitrogen
in a wide band under the seedbed making it safe to plant corn anytime.
The Montag Fertilizer Cart will place the fertilizer 4 – 8 inches
under the seedbed where it is available to the plant when it needs it.
Placing the fertilizer
under the seedbed with the variable rate option should save 20% on
fertilizer cost and produce higher yields. You will have to see to
believe how well the Montag Cart tracks behind the tool bar for
turning.

The Stripper-Scratcher |
 |
 |
|
For earlier planting of strip-till and no till corn. The
stripper scratcher removes the residue from the seedbed strip
and scratches the soil about 1 inch deep. The seedbed
will dry and warm up much quicker. Run the stripper
scratcher 2 or 3 days before the no-till, strip-till or
strip-till planter operation.
The stripper scratcher is very economical to purchase and
operate. The cost of a 1 row unit is around $350.
Tool bars for 8, 12, 16, or 24 rows are available. The
transport width for the 16 row is about 16 ft.
